We had some friends over last night for Mexican food and drinks! We had a great time, food was great, people were great. :) I made way too many enchiladas! I forget about all the appetizers that people fill up on and they don't want to eat much for dinner...and then of course there is also dessert! I need to come up with another theme. Although Mexican food is yummy and easy - I'd like to change things up a bit!

a couple of christmas pics
I finally changed the batteries in my camera so I could load the few pictures I took from Christmas. Came across a few I thought I'd share.

Mickey's Christmas Carol - Tim's favorite Christmas movie. Karen gave it to him Christmas Eve so we could watch it before bed. :)
This is so cute! I'm not sure when the star trek hand gesture or the "scissors" became gang signs, but what do I know!

Welcome to Another Year
New Years turned out to be fairly quiet for us, we had a few friends over to play Wii and watch the ball drop. (I must say, with all due respect, it's time for Dick Clark to retire the whole stroke voice thing is rather distracting). I made some delicious Gaucamole from The Pioneer Woman Cooks cookbook. Very easy and VERY yummy. There was a little (maybe more than a little) left over in the morning so I ate the rest of it after my bowl of cereal. Totally going to need to try out some more of her recipes.
I mentioned to Tim today that come the end of March we have had our house for 2 years! AND I still love living here. :) Come spring we'll put a new porch on the front of the house, but other than that the improvements will be limited if any at all. Dream improvements would include remodeling the kitchen and installing new carpets throughout the house. (The porch that is currently on the front of the house has sunk into the ground so it leans foward, was painted white and gray and has chipped beyond belief! I'd like to have it match the side porch.)
My New Years resolutions: spend less and moisturize more!
