Happy New Years

Ringing in the New Year in a BIG way... o wait, no I'm not. We went out to dinner at Ruby Tuesday's (had a gift card from Christmas, ya we can be cheap sometimes). I ate A LOT! It was really yummy!! I think we're going over to Jared and Leigh's a little later. Jared works until 10:00 so we're waiting for him to get out - if I can stay up that late, once I get bored I just want to go to bed. I don't think we'll be doing much over there either. Although, they mentioned the other night that they got a game set with a bunch of drinking games in it. That's what I call a good time... drinking games! *sarcasm* I don't like to be forced to drink. And I like to stick to my own drinking speed...which happens to be SLOW! I'm sure I'll still have a good time!! They just got a Wii and they have Mario Galaxy - very cool game! I think I'm finally getting pushed over the edge about getting a Wii. I couldn't seem to justify it in the past because neither Tim or I really play a lot of video games, but I think it would be a lot of fun to have. I said I would like one for my birthday, but that isn't until May. I thought I could sell my Game Cube and the games I have and use that money for the Wii. I've sold some of my Game Cube games on Amazon and got $25 each and I still have 7 others....so I think that idea would work. Anyway, hope everyone has a wonderful New Years! Happy 2008!

"Favorite" 25 Movies

I use the term favorite loosely when putting together this list. I'm sure I'll forget about some movies... and I agree with Colleen, a favorite is more like a movie you could watch again and again. so... here it goes (in no particular order - just as they come to mind):

1. Wedding Planner
2. Star Wars
3. Lord of the Rings
4. The Sweetest Thing
5. Closer
6. The Italian Job
7. Lord of War
8. Dazed & Confused
9. XMen
10. Failure to Launch
11. How to lose a guy in 10 days
12. The Notebook
13. Evan Almighty
14. Pretty Woman
15. If Only
16. Office Space
17. Sweet November
18. Tommy Boy
19. V for Vendetta
20. Chasing Amy
21. Ice Age
22. Miss Congeniality
23. Stigmata
24. Sweet Home Alabama
25. Save the Last Dance

good news, Good News, GOOD NEWS!!

Okay, so.. I have some good news. I got a call from that attorney's office already. They want to set up another interview so I can meet the other partner. YAY! This has to be good news, right? I'll be meeting with him next week! I'm hoping this job really works out for me! Maybe it's all that praying that Tim's Nana is doing - huh Janice? =o)

These pics are of my cousin. Who happens to be ONLY 4 years old (as of about 1 week ago). He's such a rugged kid - not so much a "fat belly", but big all over!! =o) He wears a friggin' 7t! Although, the pants are rolled up to his knees! I hate to pick on him, but seriously... It blows my mind how big he is.

A couple days late....

Christmas was absolutely wonderful!! I was very happy with everything I got (MY PALM, telescope, a beautiful necklace from Tim -- first piece of jewelry he has bought for me). I got Tim is ROKR, he was very excited! I also got him some new speakers for his computer, clothes, and some random stuff.

I had my interview today. It went very very well!! I think I'd really like this office. They will be getting back to me in a couple of weeks. I'm not really excited about the health insurance, but I knew it wasn't going to be that great considering they are a small office. But the 401k is good. The hours are the same (except they have "summer hours" which I meant to ask what that was, but I forgot). I assume summer hours would be less than normal hours. I'm going to continue searching for a job just in case this one doesn't work out.

OH Happy Day!

Okay, so... most of you may recall I was having some job issues. Well, I haven't mentioned much about it because I have been working in a new position that I really like. I very much wanted this position to be made permanent, but it isn't going to happen. The lady I have been working for wants me to stay, but due to "budget" I will not be staying. I could apply for a teller position, but... no thanks! Anyway, getting to the happy stuff... I got an interview set up with Tucker & Dostie Law Office for a paralegal position. I really hope I get it!! If I don't get it... well, never mind we won't talk about the "if I don't get it" part right now. The interview is next week, but I'm not going to jinx it by giving away the day and time! =o)

Wrapping at the Mall

I volunteered to wrap gifts at the Red Cross station in the Mall. It was SOOOO slow! It would of been fun had there been more than 10 people in a 4 hour time period - well, considering there were like 5 other people. It was fun to make the presents pretty. There was a lot of wrapping paper, ribbons and bows! I thought it would be busier since it's getting close to Christmas. Now I think I'm going to pick up some ribbon and make some of my gifts all pretty!!

Just one more week!! I can't wait for Christmas! It takes forever to get here, but I know it's going to fly right by. But that's okay because I'll have a bunch of new stuff!! =o)

Gingerbread Houses and Shrek the Third!

Sean and Jessi spent the night last night. We had a good time. We made gingerbread houses or rather we decorated gingerbread houses... I bought them pre-made.

Than we watched Shrek the Third and Polar Express. Jessi passed out fairly early, she mentioned she had been up late with her friends the night before. Sean was up for awhile watching Polar Express. Tim and I went into bed around 9:45 and Sean was still up watching the movie. The kids were well behaved. Sean got a little crazy at times but than again he did eat half the frosting for the gingerbread house and a ton of candy on top of it! Sean got upset with Tim once and threatened to go home, but this morning he said he didn't want to leave.

Guar-an-tee (this blog is not for you sports haters)

So, you (you being Anthony Smith from the Steelers) think you can walk into the house of the mighty Patriots and talk a lot of smack without getting your ASS handed to you? I DON'T THINK SO DARLIN'!!! No rookie is going to get away with saying "we're going to beat the Pat's, I guarantee it". You just got yourself a big fat bulls eye attached to your face!! And boy did we hit that target! You gave the Patriots the boost they needed to get back on the winning track (not that they were really ever off). You like to think you will meet them again and maybe with a little luck you will, but I'll give you 2 guesses as to the outcome of that game. Hmm... I'm going to give you a hint... rip you a new one!! Picking up what I'm putting down? Well, the Patriots answered your "guarantee" with a big ole beat down on the field. Next time you need to remember to keep your mouth shut!! NOBODY likes someone who's going to run their mouth - your teammates were also not impressed by you running your mouth! Keep the cool guy act for your friends and just play the damn game!

Oh, Christmas Tree

We decorated our tree yesterday morning. I forgot how picky Tim is about where the lights are positioned and than the garland and then the ornaments. Today he was still frigging around with it!! RIDICULOUS! But I said "kristie, pick your battles" and just sat back while he did his thing!! He put the lights on first and he said it was my turn to help and told me to put on the garland. I said, no way! All he would do is follow right behind me and fix it all. So I just put ornaments on. =o)

I've put some presents under the tree, but not all. Some of the gifts are for the Jordan's. =o) Speaking of the Jordan's, Tim and I have the kids next week! I'd like to plan something fun. any ideas? What's fun for a 12 year old AND a 5 year old?

Decorating and Wrapping

We did a little decorating tonight for Christmas. Thursday we're going to pick up a tree and let it settle so we can decorate it on Saturday. I usually don't like to spend money on silly decorations for holidays, but I think for Christmas I am going to make an exception this year! Tomorrow I'd like to head over to Family Dollar and get some cheap decorative stuff. Tim and I both are very excited for Christmas! If I haven't mentioned it already my 2nd favorite part of the Christmas season is wrapping presents. So tonight I'm going over to a friend of mine to wrap some presents with her. She has a son (5 years old) and her boyfriend has 3 boys (between 5-11 years old). So she has a ton of toys to wrap! YAY!!! I'll be in wrapping heaven! I'm going over later because we need to wait for her son to go to bed (the other boys are at their moms).

Back

We left NY a day early because of the nasty storm coming along (that is now here). I had a wonderful time visiting with my family. We did some figuring while we were down there and realized it had been 11 years since we had last seen each other. My aunts and uncles now have kids (the kids are 8 and 4). I think I played more Wii bowling than anything else! =o) The ride was really long - 9 1/2 hrs there because of city traffic! But it was a little over 8 hrs home. This is Lea and Anthony they are both 8 and INSANELY well behaved!! LOVE'M!!! (the pic looks half dark and half normal because Mikela took the picture and her finger covered half the flash).
This is Mikela. She is 4 and the wild one of the bunch! She's very funny and adorable!!

And this is my dad and my grandfather (poppy).

I'm happy to be home, but I did not want to leave so quickly. It was very sad to say goodbye, but this time we will not wait so long to visit again. We're planning on going down again in May.
