HAPPY!

What a good day. I got out of work early so Karen and I could get a massage together. It was her first massage and she was so funny about it. She had like 20 questions that only she could have thought up. We had a good time though. We planned to go to Payless after, but we both had to pee so bad we just went home instead haha! I sold my first 2 items on Ebay today! I'm so hooked it isn't even funny. If I could run a business just selling stuff on Ebay I would SO do it. It's so easy!! This summer I'll probably turn into one of those people going from yard sale to yard sale to find crazy bargains then turn around and sell it on Ebay for a profit! haha! =o) DIRTY*

A day with Dad!

Dad came over today. We had a good time! Tim was gone so Dad, Karen and I had a great time laughing and reminiscing about stupid stuff. We went out to lunch at Twin City Buffet in Brewer. I think every time he comes to visit that's where we eat!
He was getting a little bothered with all the photos being taken so he's like "okay, here, get one and be done with it"! haha =O)

And sure enough he finds Tim's toys! He shot some with this one in his hands then I told him the other one whistles when you shoot it - HE LOVED IT! haha Even Karen was enjoying it.

(Karen laughing at something Dad was saying) After Dad left Karen and I took a trip to the Supah Wal-Mart to do some shopping. I got some new rugs for the bathroom and a few odds and ends.

I was going to do some grocery shopping tonight, but didn't get around to it. Tim's not home and I hate going grocery shopping alone because it's a pain to carry all the bags in by myself. We'll go tomorrow instead. Tim's out to Paul's jammin' with Paul and Ben which means a little "Kristie" time is in order. (Kristie time = Ebay, Bloggin', 97.1, Tootsie Rolls, and some Ghost Whisperer!)

Sitting here watching CSI, but can't hear it!!! Tim and Ben are talking away about WORK. Who does what at work and who's boss is more stupid than the others. Then Tim starts reminiscing about working at the Pizza Gourmet (where Ben still works). Tim's had a couple of beers which is just enough to get him in a super chatty mood! Lovin' It! Oh, I just added in a couple of comments and that shut everyone up! YIKES haha!
Mom, Karen and I went to lunch today at Applebee's. We had a good time. Karen and I are trying to make more of an effort to spend time with her. Dad is also coming up this Saturday to spend some time with Karen and I. We'll probably get Chinese because we ALWAYS get Chinese when he comes to visit. =)
I have given up on my house search. I no longer look "for fun" because it just discourages me when I find a house I really like and I realize I can't have it right now. I'm going to continue to chip away at my debt and save some money! YAY*

Happy President's Day

What President's Day means to me: a day off from work.
I celebrated the holiday by doing my laundry, surfing the Internet, and listing a couple items on Ebay. Pretty soon I'll be getting my second wind and whoop it up with some tv, dinner, and a little more internet surfing. Nothing like President's Day to just throw out all the rules and go CrAzY!
(this post was for my personal amusment, yes I think it's funny and yes I laughed out loud!)

Amazon.com

When I was in College I used to sell my used textbooks on Amazon.com and I had sold almost all of them. I hadn't used my account in about 2 years, but decided to jump back into it. I had a couple of textbooks I thought I wanted to keep, but now realize I have no use for them. I couldn't believe 1 of them was still selling for over $60 used! YESS! I figured they would be on there for like $3.00 or something. So I have 5 books listed and my old camera. I've been frantically searching the apartment for other things to sell. haha! I bugged Tim, but he claims he has NOTHING! I almost always get rid of things I don't use. Living in an apartment makes it hard to hang on to things when they're not being used regularly. So I'm hoping some of my stuff sells (if not all) and I make a few bucks.

Our Dream Home

Tim and I are really liking this house! Unfortunately, we can't exactly afford it. It is listed for $158,000 =( At least $20,000 out of our price range!) Click the link, check out the house - it's great. It's about 30 minutes out of Bangor, has a friggin' Pond!, low taxes, a great back deck, and a gorgeous yard! I could go on! As Tim said "when we're ready we'll find a nice house". Well, I wanna be ready right now because I've found the house I want! I think I'm going to throw a tantrum. Even if we could talk the price down it wouldn't really be enough - nobody talks down $20,000! haha! So, either I take up prostitution or Tim does because I NEED this house!!! =o) (joke).

Happy Valentine's Day

Mmmmm.... nice, quiet afternoon at home is so wonderful! MMB closed at 1:00 because of the storm - I almost felt a slight bit of guilt leaving early since I live literally 1/2 mile down the road. Technically, when the bank closes I don't HAVE to leave because some people still stay and work. O well! My whole department left so I wasn't going to stay. =o) So, I've popped in a movie and have thought about shoveling some of the driveway, but I doubt I'll act on any of those thoughts! Instead I'll do some reading, internet surfing, and maybe a nap will get squeezed in some where. Tim and I don't really have any plans for tonight to celebrate Vday. We planned on doing something this weekend instead. Jericho is on tonight at 8:00 and I'm so excited it's back!

Back to the Jordan's

I'm back for the night! I just can't stand to be away from my Timmy more than a day! =o) The dogs are in a barking mood tonight. Tim and I just stare at them, but they continuing barking. I think they miss their parents. Tomorrow I'm going out to lunch with Kris and Stephanie, girls I went to College with. I'm excited. The 3 of us haven't got together since we graduated 2 years ago this May. Kris has a little girl who she'll be bringing along (with another on the way). So it'll be the 4 of us. =o) Then tomorrow night I think my sister and I are having a "sleepover" at my apartment without Timmy. I don't know what we'll do - maybe drink wine and talk shit about people! haha! I think the mean side of us comes out when we're together. Ghost Whisperer is on so I've got to be going!

Staying home tonight

This week Tim and I are house/dog/cat sitting for Colleen and Rick while they're gone. It's goin well. Sophie was locked in Jessie's room by accident for about a day and half. Tim closed the kids doors to keep the dogs from going in and pooping/peeing while we were gone all day. Little did he know he was locking the cat in! haha I heard Sophie crying and told Tim I couldn't find her and sure enough I open Jessie's door and out she comes. The dogs have been pretty good. Cooper pooped on the floor the first day he was left. They're not used to staying home for so long by themselves so we weren't surprised. Tonight I've decided to stay home. I don't sleep as well in another bed. I wake up a lot. And the drive is sucking up my gas which I'm not used to either since I live a 1/2 mile from where I work! So tonight will be a nice quiet night by myself. I might go puttering around Wal-Mart to see if there is anything new I might "need" after I eat supper. Otherwise, I'll be watching some tv and reading my book.

Car Repairs!

My car has been making this weird squeaky noise (a belt) for over a month now and I finally decided it needed to be fixed (along with an oil change). I took it in and was expecting a $65 price tag when I left. Not even 15 minutes after my appointment I get a phone call saying my brakes needed new pads and some other thing was really rusty and needed to be replaced. Just an additional $275!!! I take my car back to Quirks where I purchased it - maybe a bad idea, but I do it anyway. They charge $76.50 an hour for labor! Holy Crapola! So needless to say my parts and labor came out to the exact same price!!!!! Actually, my parts were $2 LESS!! I, from now on, promise to shop around!! I did get 2 free car washes out of the deal (big wahoo) =/.
The "guy" (who, by the way, was named Tim) called me to tell me about this new $275 change in price as well as get my okay to do the work and asked me how often I use the car. I said I use it daily, but he said it looked as if I rarely use the car and that it possibly appears it has sat for 2-3 months!!! Afterwards I thought about it and I rarely do use my car. I drive literally less then a mile to work, park it all day and then drive home!! The grocery store is 1/2 mile from home, the gym is like 5 miles from home... ACMoore is probably like 5 miles from home too! I rarely drive my car far. So my personal diagnosis is going to be to drive my car! haha!! How often does that happen, that you don't drive your car enough? This coming week I'll be putting a little extra mileage on it being out at Colleen and Rick's while they're whoopin' it up in Florida. =o) But, I'm happy my car is running quieter now and my brakes feel awesome!

Under the Tuscan Sun

So I watched the movie Under the Tuscan Sun last night and I now NEED to visit Italy! I have always wanted to go to Sicily because there is a city called Licata. Maybe it sounds a little corny, but I think it would be fun to visit a place that holds your last name within the country your ancestors are from. I went as far as to price plane tickets from different airports and I looked into the tourist attractions in Licata. Let me put it this way - it's expensive!! After the plane ticket, food, hotel, and misc. expensives I would be looking at a $3,000 trip (in US Dollars). Licata is directly on the ocean! Even if I did go who would go with me? Who could afford to take the trip as well? I love it if my sister would go, but she can't afford it. =/ I think I'll add this trip to my list of "goals" in life. I WILL take a trip to Licata, Sicily!!!!
