YAY!! A CHAIR!
This weekend Mardens was having a sale on some recliners. Well, I got there right as the sale begun (well, close)! And BaM! I found this wonderfully great chair! Before I went over to Mardens I told Tim about the sale and he was all like "no, don't bother... just another thing we have to move" blah blah blah! So, I get over there with Karen and I start looking around and see this chair. I debate and debate then I decide to message a picture of it to Tim. He immediatly liked it and so I called him and we decided to get it! Tim just picked it up today and we LOVE IT! We don't have the space in our living room so it's a little awkward, but we would have never (never meaning within the next year or so) found a chair like this at such a great price!! It's exactly the style we wanted - rocker, leg rest (not just the foot rest), great simple color, and squishy! And for $162 I'm pretty happy with it!!

MY HOUSE!!

We had the inspection done on the house this morning. The inspector was an awesome guy! He said the house was in really great condition with just minor repairs needed (and some just suggested). I'm feeling even better about this house now, as is Tim. It took just over 2 hours and it was a great learning experience. Tim took some notes and of course the inspector will write up a report for us. The next month is going to feel like a lifetime (we plan to close at the end of March). I have to go in to work in about n hour - yuck! Tim's home for the day.

LONG OVER DUE!!
I finally get to blog about the house Tim and I are trying to buy. We've been nervous about telling people because we've had some trouble in the past when it comes to house hunting. It's almost exhausting to get so excited and share that excitement with people but then turn around and tell everyone it isn't going to work out. So, the house is in Holden - a 2 bedroom 1 bath Ranch. The master bedroom is really big!! Full basement with the beginnings of a "finished" room which we plan to finish probably this summer ... if the house is ours of course. It sits on about 1.6 acres. The house needs some paint in the kitchen and some touch ups in the bedrooms and living room... and the trim in the entire house needs to be repainted white. And with some cleaning we'll be on our way to a super awesome first house!! Tomorrow is our home inspection (at 9:00a). This is our first hurdle (well techincally getting the seller to agree on the offer was our first hurdle... so 2nd hurdle). If the inspection comes back good than we can move forward with the loan, like the appraisal and stuff. We have been approved for a loan it's just a matter of getting the ball rolling with it. I think nightly Tim says "we're moving, we have to pack everything and move." haha!! YAY! I have a few pictures of the inside, but none of the outside. I'll take a pic of the outside tomorrow when we go for the inspection.

I'm very excited about this house! We both really really want it to work out!! Tim's actually at a point now where he feels good about affording this!! =o) Get this though! One of the first things he said when we checked out the house was "it only has 2 bedrooms, I want more than 1 kid" HAHA!! I'm like, calm down... this is just our first house! And I think the kids can share a room for a few years if necessary!
I'll post again tomorrow with a pic of the outside!

What the hell is that noise...
OH, Tim wants to snow blow the driveway at 7:30 on a Saturday morning.... LOVIN' IT!! He's such a good manager! =o) For those who do not know Tim now manages our apartment building and the one down behind us while our landlords are in Florida (total of 4 apartments including our own). The landlords return in mid April. The old manager moved to Georgia so since the beginning of this month he's been taking care of whatever. He's already had to deal with someones water heater exploding in the basement - dealing with it means looking at the exploded water heater and then having to call the plumber guy. I think Tim likes being the manager. I like to give him a hard time about things... like the driveway is icy so I complain about the "manager" not salting it. And when he comes inside I'm going to say "can you believe that friggin' manager snow blowing at 7:30 on a SATURDAY morning." All in good humor of course!

Biscuits??
My mom used to make really yummy biscuits when I was a kid (I think they were from Betty Crocker). So anyway, when I moved out I copied a lot of my moms recipes and one was the Betty Crocker biscuit recipe. I've had the recipe for awhile now, but almost always buy the frozen pillsbury dinner rolls or biscuits instead. Tim is working today and I don't have much going on so I decided to whip me up a batch of moms good ole tasty biscuits. HA!
Not sure who I was kidding, but they are absolutly NOTHING like my moms!! Rather, they look like chunks of cooked dough with WAY too much flour on them! (they wouldn't stop being so sticky so I just continued to flour the crap out of them!) I did taste test one... it was edible and I probably wont die. I am just so disappointed - they have none of that flakey goodness of moms delicious biscuits. They're more like chewy grossness! HAHA! Well, honestly I'm still serving them with dinner tonight. I think Tim will still eat a few (maybe to my surprise he'll like them).
I'm going to take a wild guess and say Tim will by pass this one! It'll probably end up in the trash with about 20 of the other biscuits!! =o)

What the....
I had planned on going to see Obama speak at the Bangor Auditorium this afternoon. That did not happen. Tim drove by around 12:30 and there was already a huge amount of people waiting to get in! The doors didn't even open until 2:30 and Obama wasn't scheduled to begin speaking until 4:00! A friend of mine was going to come over around 2:00 and we were going to walk over. She called me around 12:45 and says she's going now because she heard a lot of people turned out to see Clinton in Orono and MANY were turned away. I told her she could park in my parking lot if she wanted... I assume she got in because her car is still here (3 hours later).
With that not in my schedule I got to be a little bored this afternoon. I cleaned the kitchen from head to toe!! floors, frig, cupboards, behind this and that, and all the above. I have a slight headache from the fumes. Now I think I'd like to take a nap. Tim and I were suppose to be going to the Sports Arena with a bunch of friends, but now it's turned out instead of the Sports Arena we're going to Paul and Crystal's house. Drives me crazy! We planned on one thing all week and now the day of the plans they want to change them. I was looking forward to actually "doing" something! Instead we'll just sit there... *duh! No fun. Okay Kristie, cut the attitude. Nobody wants to be your friend with an attitude like that. =o)

Happy Happy
I'm really happy in my new position(s) at the bank. I have been so busy. I used to go from one task... finish that, then go to something else finish that and so on. Now, I have multiple things going at the same time. I like having lots to do, sounds silly, but it really helps the day go by and I feel like I work better when I have a lot on my plate. YAY!!
Okay, back to watching the Biggest Loser. =o)

a few things...
So, the 2 jobs thing is going very well. I love being consistently busy through out the day. (not like drowning in work, but steady). It's still a little hectic because we don't really have a plan set up as to what I'm "in charge" of doing in each department. But, we'll get there.
**********************
Tomorrow I have to get things together for the super bowl. I need to pick up food & bizzles, clean up a little around the apartment... maybe start some baking. Still not sure what our "main dish" will be. I thought we were just going to settle on pizza, but now Tim's not sure he wants to do that. ugh* My friend Meagan is coming up to Bangor in the afternoon. She's got some shopping to do so I'll probably tag along. We haven't hung out in a couple of months.
**********************
Sunday's the big day! We were having 6 people over, but it's dwindle to 4... which is perfect because 6 people (including Tim and I) will fit nicely in the living room while 8 would be pushing the comfort level. =o) Although, it kinda sucks because the people bringing the chili are the ones not coming. And there chili is friggin' so good!!
