Shrub Removal

First day of Spring and it was hitting 70 degrees! LOVELY!! Tim and I spent some time outside cleaning up around the yard. I suppose Tim did most of the cleaning while I took pictures and played with Obie, but I believe my presence was encouraging. Well, I decided to trim up the (ugly) bush/tree things in front of the house (I hated them ever since we moved in...they grow out of control and are uneven), as I got to chopping I looked up at Tim and said "lets just dig'm up". He said okay so we did! I would have felt awful if we had only dug them up and then not replanted them. Even an ugly tree deserves to live - yes? So, after much discussion we went with a corner of the back yard. Hopefully they are able to re-root themselves. It's supposed to rain the next couple of days so I suspect they will survive.

Now that the trees are gone I need to decide what to do with the front of the house. I'd like something simple. The sun doesn't hit the front of the house so I don't want to mess with flowers and stuff. I think before I do anything I'm going to have a new front porch made. The one there now has sunk into the ground and looks like poo!!
